Songs of criminal women and convict men, treachery and transportation have been dragged out of the songbooks, ripped apart, then lovingly put back together as a reminder that our history never leaves us.

 Headed by innovative flautist, Jacquelyn Hynes’ Avalonia provide a fusion of music from the Celtic, Arabic, Eastern European, North African and English traditions, bringing a depth of expression that combines beautiful and mesmeric sound with a solid contemporary feel.
